My 3 Top Bridal Makeup Trends for 2025: What’s I’ve Seen So Far This Year

Every year, bridal makeup trends evolve, and 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting year for brides looking for fresh and bold looks. Whether you’re looking for a subtle, natural glow or something more dramatic, 2025 offers a few different trends that can make your bridal look feel modern and unique. In this post I’ve compiled some of the latest looks I’ve been creating for my brides so far this year… let’s take a look!

1. The Soft Glam

The focus on natural beauty is stronger than ever in 2025, with glowing, dewy skin taking centre stage. Brides are opting for a radiant complexion that doesn’t over power the completed look, but that compliments their style and lasts all day. that looks like they just woke up with perfect skin. Think highlighters that enhance the skin’s natural glow, and soft blush tones whilst relying a little less on coverage and heavier complexion products. I often get asked for a natural to soft glam style, I would say it’s the most common type of makeup I do. I love how it still plays true to yourself but with a little added something something!

Emma-Louise married April 2025 in Rookery Hall, Cheshire.

2. Colour with a modern twist

It’s exciting to see colour making a comeback in bridal makeup this year - not in an overpowering way, but with a fresh, modern twist. Instead of bright, full-face colour, 2025 is all about selecting one feature to highlight with a subtle yet impactful pop.

For example, soft lavender on the lids or a wash of peach on the cheeks - all while keeping the rest of the face neutral. These choices add personality and playfulness without taking away from the overall elegance of a bridal look.

This trend is perfect for brides who want something a little unexpected - maybe to tie in with their wedding flowers, or to reflect their style. In Emma’s recent wedding at Rookery Hall, I matched soft wash of lilacs and light purples to match her florals, and I just loved the overall look!

Colette married March 2025 at Ashfield House, Wigan.

3: K-Beauty Inspired Bridal Looks

Skincare-first makeup, inspired by Korean beauty trends, is becoming a cornerstone of 2025 bridal beauty. Brides are prioritising skincare more than ever, resulting in plumper, more hydrated skin that’s ready for a barely-there makeup finish.

The goal here is healthy, luminous skin with an emphasis on hydration, barrier protection, and lightweight layering. Think glass skin, soft blush tones, feathered brows, and a juicy lip tint - all topped with minimal powders to let the skin breathe.

In my bridal kit, I’ve started prepping skin with K-beauty-inspired products like essence mists, water creams, and under-makeup glow primers. It makes such a difference in how the makeup sits and lasts - especially for summer weddings or brides with naturally drier skin.

Colette, married at Ashfield House, Wigan earlier this year gave me exactly that brief! I love the natural glow and the slight pop of colour to tie it all together.

Bridal makeup trends for 2025 are all about personal expression and confidence. Whether you want to embrace a natural, dewy look or a more dramatic statement, these trends can help you feel your best on your wedding day.
